I was going to make this a Diary Entry but thought it may turn into a rant, but again this could always go either way if i am being honest about it. So…….

There I said It, I am an Agile Coach, its taken me years to get there and years to accept it, am I a baby in the industry, yes I am and do I have lots to learn. I hope we all do. However since changing from a permanant employee to a contractor I have noticed recruiters send me a load of jobs that are not my I dont consider my role in my head, happy to discuss others and their thoughts about this.

So I am not an Agile Project Manager, I am not a Agile Delivery manager, I am not a Scrum Master/Agile Coach or even cheif Scrum Leader I am an Agile Coach, no where in the Manifesto, Values, principles or the frameworks mention these roles so how have we got to this position, is it the companies asking or the recruiters not listening to the people actually doing the Job.

So do we need to educate or do they need to learn the Roles? I am at a loss to why it keeps happen and why I see so many roles that have such titles, or am I missing a point here? Is this me, am I not seeing the big picture, am I the person in the wrong, I dont think I am, but again open to that dicussion around this. Or is there something I should do, like run a workshop or go to a Meetup or send comms to people to guide, teach about this or am I being to dickish about it!!

Anyway Its my rant or diary entry so will continue to investigate, learn and debate this I am sure for some time to come and with fellow Agilists.
